Are you on the Voters List?
Check after September 1st!
You can vote if you are:
- At least 18 years old (by final voting day);
- A Canadian citizen;
- A South Bruce resident, landowner or tenant (or the spouse or same sex partner of one); and
- Registered to vote.
Your name must be on the Voters’ List in order for you to cast a ballot and it is your responsibility to ensure your name appears on the list.
Important: Voter Registration Update
The Province of Ontario's (Election Ontario) online voter registration period ended August 12, 2026.
If you still need to add your name to the voters' list or update your information, you are not too late to vote.
Beginning September 1, 2026, contact the municipal office to check you are on the list, update or correct your information. Contact us by phone: 519-392-6623, by email: election@southbruce.ca or visit the municipal office at 21 Gordon St. E., Teeswater, Ontario.
If you are not on the list and need to be added, you must attend in person with acceptable identification.

Have you checked your School Support?
Your school support designation determines your ballot. Make sure it’s right!
Property owners in Ontario are required to support a school board, even if they do not have children, or their children are not currently attending school. In the case of a residential property occupied by tenants, the tenants can direct the school support for that property.
It is your responsibility to ensure your school support information is correct on your tax bill and on the voters' list.
June 1 was the deadline to update your school support designation so MPAC could provide accurate information to Elections Ontario for the creation of the Preliminary List of Electors, in accordance with election timelines.
You can still update your designation after June 1 using MPAC AboutMyProperty™ or MPAC’s online portal for tenants. Your change will be recorded by MPAC, but it will not appear on the Preliminary List of Electors. After submitting your update, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Share this with us (the Municipality) so your information can be updated on the Final Voters List.
What is school support? Whether you own or rent your home, your property is linked to a school board – even if you don’t have children or your children aren’t currently attending school. While you’re not required to make a designation, you do have the option to choose which school board you support. If you don’t make a choice, your support will default to the English-Public school board.
How to update school support designations
Property owners can change their school support designation online using MPAC AboutMyProperty™ or our online portal for tenants. To get started, choose the option that applies to you (*Please note the below links will take you to MPACs webpage):

Please note: Registration may take up to 24 hours to activate.
You can submit a paper Application for Direction of School Support form in English or French and mail or email it to MPAC.
